I was delighted to find this small band box covered in hand printed paper and with old handwritten ledger page adhered to the underside in New Hampshire this week, and then was even more delighted to find treasures inside when I opened it. What are, or were, these pretty little rounds of paper cut from early playing cards with wooden disks behind many of them, all punched through with tiny wooden posts? Spinners or markers from
